Transformative, empowering psychotherapy

Therapeutic Coaching

A holistic integration of therapy and coaching

Welcome – I’m Mia

Thank you for taking the time to visit.

I specialise in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, a core process for deep transformational change, offered alone or alongside Transformative Therapeutic Coaching. As a trauma-informed therapist, I also support nervous system regulation and wellbeing through complementary tools like the Safe and Sound Protocol and other bespoke approaches tailored to your individual needs.

Who I work with

I support individuals navigating a wide range of life’s complexities and challenges. You may find this space helpful if you are experiencing:

  • Stress, anxiety, burnout, and overwhelm: Finding your way back to balance and resilience.

  • Relationships: Navigating complex dynamics with others and developing a deeper understanding of yourself within them.

  • Change and transitions: Moving through significant life changes with greater clarity and confidence.

  • A search for meaning: Exploring your inner world more deeply and discovering a renewed sense of purpose.

  • A search for self: Reconnecting with your essence, clarifying your identity, and fostering a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

  • Neurodiversity: A neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed approach that supports the development of a strong sense of safety and a deeper understanding of your unique nervous system.

While my practice is broad, I specialise particularly in supporting clients who identify as neurodivergent and those who recognise patterns rooted in trauma and wish to address them at a transformational level. My work is designed for those who feel ready to move beyond "just talking" about their experiences to engage with an underlying system for profound, lasting change.

The foundation of safety

I believe that the heart of any transformative process is a genuine felt sense of safety. When the nervous system feels protected or overwhelmed, deeper healing can feel out of reach. As Stephen W. Porges (2016) noted: “Safety IS the treatment.”

To support the core process of therapeutic IFS work, when needed, I integrate "bottom-up" body-based practices that support stability and regulation. These approaches allow for a more embodied path to felt sense of safety. These include:

These methods assist in expanding your capacity for curiosity, connection and exploration, creating the ideal conditions for deeper work and transformational change.

Working together

My intention is to provide a warm, non-judgemental environment where you feel truly seen and heard. In our 45, 60, or 90-minute sessions—allowing you to choose the length that best suits your needs—we will work together to uncover the roots of your challenges, work therapeutically to address blocks and trauma, and move toward a more integrated, resilient way of being.

IFS and Therapeutic Coaching - Client Testimonials

“My work with Mia was my first experience of Internal Family Systems, and it proved to be incredibly impactful. Mia is a grounded, non-judgemental guide. I always felt completely safe to share even the parts of myself I carried the most shame around, knowing they would be met with kindness and compassion. Through our sessions, I learned how to approach my inner world with curiosity rather than fear, which has transformed my relationship with myself. I use the language and tools Mia taught me every day and I would highly recommend anyone experiencing challenges consider Mia’s approach and support.”

“Working with Mia has been genuinely transformative. Through IFS therapy, coaching, and tarot, she created a space where I learned to treat myself with far more kindness and compassion, which played a huge role in overcoming my imposter syndrome. Our sessions also helped me gain real clarity and confidence around the next steps in my career. I’m deeply grateful for her insight, support, and the powerful tools she brings to her work. Highly recommended. “

“Working with Mia, I felt seen, safe, and understood. Her guidance through asking insightful, unexpected questions and giving space for my own internal process allowed for meaningful new insights to emerge.”

“Maybe like you, you've spent more than a couple decades, working with different practitioners of various kinds, from around the world, to release self sabotaging patterns. I can share from first hand experience that many may have the certifications from courses or workshops, but a very small number are actually sharpening their skills by practicing on themselves too. As is clearly evidenced in Mia's approach, one of the best ways we can help another is by staying out of the way. It takes a very skilled practitioner to balance between curiosity, direction, intuition, knowledge, and experience. The knowledge and skills may be able to taught in a training, but it only becomes fully actualized and most effective once it's been applied in ones life- a testament to not only the trainings, but her personal application. Mia's encouragement, witnessing, and skill are critical to assisting in navigating our deepest inner realms. Thank you, Mia, for your commitment to Self, in all the ways.”

“I have found IFS therapy with Mia to be a gentle and deep approach to understanding myself and my feelings. It feels like a body first approach which has allowed me to truly feel my emotions and process situations which I would otherwise have intellectualised. The work has been fluid and shaped around my needs.”

“I am thankful to Mia for her gentle and nurturing approach in my IFS journey. I came to IFS having experienced some experiential trainings of the model through the organisation I work for; keen to learn more of myself than what was unearthed throughout the course. Mia offered time for understanding and exploring the model more, and for allowing space for my parts to present themselves without judgement. Her gentle and curious approach was helpful in supporting me to become more nurturing towards myself and my parts. I highly recommend Mia for anyone considering support through the IFS model.”

“My sessions with you have been remarkably interesting and enlightening and I want to thank you so much for your help- I have felt a real change in how I see myself and I feel empowered - a tribute to your skill and to the IFS approach, which turned out to be just what I needed.”

“What really struck me the most about working with Mia is how safe and comfortable I've felt. The space held for me with calm, grounded energy, and her adaptability to suit my needs at any moment in a session, these have been invaluable.”

“Mia has a very sensitive approach and is very good at applying the IFS framework. This was a new form of therapy for me, and it has been really beneficial. I know myself much better thanks to my sessions with Mia, and feel confident that I can apply the skills I have learnt during future challenging times. It has been a truly empowering experience working with Mia.”

“I came to The Therapeutic Coach for assistance with some internal conflict that I was noticing. I have had some experience with therapy and coaching and Mia is able to blend the two and expertly hold a space for me to explore my inner world.”

“Parts work was an entirely new approach to therapy for me, and I found it incredibly helpful. Mia made me feel so comfortable, and within just a few sessions I was able to unpack and better process emotions that had previously felt very stuck. Thanks so much, Mia!”

“Mia’s sessions are powerful and enlightening and I am forever grateful to have found someone whom from the first instance gave me the feeling I could be true to who I am. After traumas and life setbacks I am on the journey to connecting with my true self.”

“Working with Mia has been a wonderful experience full of self discovery. I would like to thank her for her skilled, knowledgeable and supportive guidance through a very difficult time for me. I feel well-equipped and confident to continue my journey alone and embed all I have learned. I recommend her highly.”

“I had sessions with Mia for a few months and found her approach very helpful for working out why I feel the way I do and where my emotions come from. She is patient, calm, and compassionate, which was important for establishing a good working relationship”

“I first approached Mia as I was looking specifically for a therapeutic coach. I knew I needed the deep inner work that therapy can help us to access, but I also wanted the practical skills of someone who could help to coach me as well. Mia used the Internal Family Systems model with me, which I had heard of but not experienced before, and it unlocked so much for me in just 6 sessions. When I came to Mia I was stuck in a situational depression. Lacking motivation and focus, struggling to get up in the mornings and feeling frozen in fear and anxiety. My mind was foggy and my physicality felt heavy and sluggish. Through our work together I was able to let go of what I was doing to hold myself back - despite my external circumstances, which were out of my control and not changing that much - and open myself up to more creativity, joy and connection. By the end of our sessions together I felt hopeful, motivated and like I had a sense of direction and focus back, that I'd not experienced in months. I highly recommend working with Mia if you are feeling stuck, confused and in need of some help shifting what feels like it cannot be moved. Mia holds a gentle space for you to arrive in vulnerability and connect with the parts of you that need attention and healing. Working with Mia has been invaluable to me.”

“As a result of IFS therapy I have noticed a better ability to experience embodiment (in the sessions and outside them) and a more open and expansive attitude in my daily life. The psychological and emotional safety cultivated in the sessions is achieved through open and warm presence and questioning and acceptance of what I bring. A deep exploration has felt possible through curiosity that Mia has encouraged.”

“This therapeutic work with Mia has enabled me to discover and explore a vast and rich inner world that was previously not accessible to me. It has profoundly changed the way in which I relate to myself for the better. Mia holds space during sessions in an incredibly grounded and focused manner which I’ve found to be very supportive and effective.”

“Mia and I have been working together for so long and have been through so much it’s really hard to know where to start and how to melt it down into a succinct few sentences, but I will try. First and foremost, I trust Mia completely, with all of me. Even my darkest, most shameful parts. She meets me with unconditional acceptance, an abundance of patience, kindness, and honesty. I love and admire that Mia is deeply committed to her own healing and spiritual journey; she is a coach/therapist who has done and continues to do her own work, which makes her phenomenal at what she does. She is constantly taking more training and filling her toolbox with heartfelt ways to support us. I have the utmost confidence in her intuitive, shamanic, therapeutic guidance. Mia is not only very well educated but also highly experienced. She is a glowing example of someone who walks their talk, an embodied, authentic, wise coach. She is infinitely kind and so very safe. Rest assured, you will get results with Mia as your guide, I certainly have. “

“Mia is a patient and empathic therapist. She comes across as non judgemental and warm, she was attuned to my needs and feedback. I found it helpful to use the IFS model to understand my internal world and work through struggles. Thank you Mia!”
