Mia Sarosi

I’m an experienced Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, and Transformative Therapeutic Coach. My career has spanned private practice, charitable organisations, and NHS settings, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of diverse needs and perspectives. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an Accredited Senior Practitioner with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).

My approach is rooted in humanistic values, which means I see you as a person of inherent worth, not defined by your challenges. I believe everyone has inside them a natural ability to heal and transform and my role is to help facilitate that process.

Over the years, I have worked with clients of all ages and walks of life, gaining broad professional experience with a diverse range of people. I have a particular interest and experience in working with neurodivergent clients, including those with autism, ADHD, and other identities. In my private practice and with organisations, my client groups have included students, academics, career professionals, creatives and people seeking personal growth, as well as people navigating change, health challenges and life transitions. I have also worked in a voluntary capacity for many years with a charity supporting survivors of sexual abuse and violence, and I am very interested in continuing to support people who have experienced significant trauma, abuse, and relational/complex trauma.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) has been significantly transformative in my own healing journey, and I am passionate about bringing this model to my work for the benefit of my clients. I have a particular interest in exploring the spiritual dimension of IFS and its potential in transpersonal work. My approach is enriched by my training in Psychospiritual and Therapeutic Shamanism, as well as Core Shamanic practices.

Outside of work, I stay active through swimming and walking and value time spent in nature. I am also passionate about art. Before becoming a therapist, I had a fulfilling career as a studio ceramic artist and was honoured to be a Queen Elizabeth Trust Scholar in Ceramics. I also hold a master’s degree in illustration and have a keen interest in graphic novels and wordless books.
